Once you've booked, you can ask to add another driver through TREVO's in-app Live Chat before the trip starts. That person needs a registered and verified TREVO account. You, the original booking Guest, still collect the car.
Adding a driver before the trip
TREVO's FAQ on additional drivers says the other driver must be registered and verified. Its Support guidance specifies an approved identity check (KYC), so a pending check is not enough to drive. If you're unsure of their verification status, ask Support before they drive. The request goes through Support, not a driver setting in the booking.
- Create your TREVO booking first; you need an existing booking to make the request.
- Check that the additional driver has a registered, verified TREVO account. Have their name and registered TREVO email ready.
- Before the trip starts, contact TREVO Support through Live Chat in the app. Ask to add the driver to your booking and give Support their name and registered TREVO email.
- Tell your host before the trip that another person intends to drive.
- Expect an internal note, not a separate confirmation: Support records the request on your booking and does not send a separate guest confirmation.
Pickup stays with the booking Guest
The original booking Guest must collect the car. Even after you've told the host about another driver, the internal note does not allow that person to collect it independently. TREVO plans to allow secondary-driver pickup in a future product update, but that option is not available now. The current TREVO Terms of Service allow a host to refuse handover to someone other than the Guest or an approved Dasher. Arrange collection around your own availability.
What if no confirmation arrives?
Support does not send a separate guest confirmation after recording the internal note. If you're unsure whether your request was recorded, return to in-app Live Chat before the trip and ask Support.
